Fix Python – Django upgrading to 1.9 error “AppRegistryNotReady: Apps aren’t loaded yet.”

Asked By – Kishore K

When upgraded to django 1.9 from 1.8 I got this error. I checked answers for similar questions, but I didn’t think this is an issue with any 3rd party packages or apps.

raise AppRegistryNotReady("Apps aren't loaded yet.")
django.core.exceptions.AppRegistryNotReady: Apps aren't loaded yet.

I’d modified the Installed apps for ‘django.contrib.auth’.

Now we will see solution for issue: Django upgrading to 1.9 error “AppRegistryNotReady: Apps aren’t loaded yet.”

I’d a custom function written on one of my models file. It was causing the error. When I moved this function from it worked.
